Hollywood ace James Cameron has revealed that Terminator 6 will begin filming in March 2018, and will be released in Summer 2019.

After co-writing, directing, and producing 1991’s mega blockbuster Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Cameron removed himself from the Terminator franchise, allowing for different creative and plot direction. While the next film in the series, Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines, fared well in the box office ($433 million) and was generally viewed favorably by critics, the next two installments of Terminator in 2009 and 2015 were nothing less than failures in the eyes of Hollywood critics, being superficial attempts to follow Cameron’s originals.

Cameron won’t be the only Terminator veteran coming back in an attempt to breath life back into the internationally recognized film series, with Linda Hamilton returning as Sarah Connor, and none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger returning as the actual Terminator.

After directing the extremely well-received, refreshing take on the superhero genre via Deadpool, director Tim Miller will look to bring a similar fresh perspective to the seemingly stale Terminator franchise.

The reported filming locations for the upcoming installment specifically include Budapest, as well as other locations in Hungary and Spain.
